In one of Mount Martha’s most prominent coastal pockets, this home was facing serious issues that had gone unresolved for far too long. Two large balconies had suffered waterproofing failures just outside of the builder’s warranty period, allowing water to seep through the structure and into the ground floor. The result was extensive mould, ongoing leaks, and large sections of the home that the owners simply couldn’t use.
Signature Building Co. was brought in to deliver a full rectification — not a patch fix, but a complete rebuild designed to eliminate the problem for good. We stripped both balconies back to structure, removed all compromised materials, and rebuilt them from the ground up with new framing, membranes, falls and finishes to ensure the waterproofing would stand the test of time.
Beyond the balconies, the property had suffered collateral damage from years of exposure and moisture. Our team completed a series of cosmetic and structural repairs throughout the home, including replacing a ground-floor deck that had deteriorated beyond repair. Every stage of the project was handled with precision and care, restoring both the integrity of the building and the clients’ confidence in their home.
