This Narre Warren renovation was all about unlocking the home’s potential. The original layout was heavily segmented, with multiple load-bearing walls dividing the living, dining and kitchen areas into cramped, disconnected rooms. Our clients wanted a brighter, more open and family-friendly space — something that felt modern, spacious and cohesive.
To achieve this, we removed three major load-bearing walls, carefully engineering and restructuring the home to create one large open plan living zone. Due to unavoidable design limitations, three structural pillars needed to remain in place, but the transformation was still dramatic. What was once dark and confined instantly became open, light-filled and functional.
With the structural works complete, we continued the refresh throughout the home. The existing hardwood floors were in such poor condition that restoration wasn’t possible, so we installed new floating floors to create a seamless, contemporary look from front to back. A full repaint brought additional warmth and brightness, tying the entire renovation together.
The result is a home that feels entirely new — open, inviting and far better suited to modern living.
