Bayview – Merricks

Tucked away in the quiet charm of Merricks, this project was all about restoring beauty and functionality to a failing feature of a classic beach shack. The original glass conservatory-style bay window had severely deteriorated, with major leaks and structural issues making it unusable. Our team carefully deconstructed the space and replaced it with a custom-built seated bay window that blends seamlessly with the home’s character.

The new bay window features beautiful timber-framed windows, a cathedral ceiling lined with VJ boards, and exposed rafters—all finished with natural materials that required absolute precision from our team. Cedar cladding was used externally to ensure the new work tied in perfectly with the existing home, retaining its beachy, laid-back aesthetic.

With a mostly natural finish and minimal room for error, this project pushed the Signature team to the next level in craftsmanship—and the result is a timeless, light-filled space that now enhances the home both inside and out.
